The German telecommunication company shows concerts in free live streams in HD and 360 degrees. Interested parties can experience the content via the MagentaMusik 360 app, on the website and on MagentaTV. Or they can access the content in the Megathek.

With up to 123,000 visitors, the Rheingau Musik Festival is one of the largest classical music events in Europe. Three very special concerts were selected in 2019:

The outstanding chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle made his debut at the Rheingau Musik Festival in 2019. Long awaited, he brought with him the orchestra with which he set out for new musical shores in autumn 2017: the London Symphony Orchestra. Janine Jansen is one of the finest young classical violinists in the world today. Her performance of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor, is thrilling!

Justus Frantz is a veteran of the Rheingau Musik Festival: He has been a friend of the founder Michael Herrmann for 50 years and has been there from the very beginning, shaping the event. This year, the 75-year-old serenades with a select group of performers: Carl Orff's Carmina Burana is on the programme, a piece with almost unique expressiveness and musical depth. Justus Frantz gives one of the most famous choral works in music history a new twist and delights the audience. A must list of the Rheingau Musik Festival.

Jan Lisiecki mixes up the genre with his fresh approach and inspires the audience of the Rheingau Musik Festival as the soloist of Sergei Rachmaninov's great 2^nd piano concerto - an homage to romanticism, with songlike melodious tones. Also on the programme: Dmitri Shostakovich's 10^th Symphony. It has been alleged that Stalin's death in March of the same year had provided the main impetus for the symphony, and the second movement, in particular, is a portrait of the deceased tyrant.
